Page Turner Suzanne has me captivated with her storytelling。 The Wicked In Me demonstrated how Suzanne spins a story。 I like how she brings everything together and make me think outside the box。 Suzanne has become one of my favorite authors and this latest book has me excited about what’s next。

Brilliant start to a brand new series。We are introduced to a race called Aeons and Ancients who have been the first beings to walk the earth。 There's a feud between the two races， so they live separately， but there's more to the story that we haven't been told yet。 Here enters Wynter， who was part of a coven that lives with the Aeons， until they declared she needed to be banished for having tainted dark magick。 Little did she know that every being that gets banished is actually killed。Wynter man Brilliant start to a brand new series。We are introduced to a race called Aeons and Ancients who have been the first beings to walk the earth。 There's a feud between the two races， so they live separately， but there's more to the story that we haven't been told yet。 Here enters Wynter， who was part of a coven that lives with the Aeons， until they declared she needed to be banished for having tainted dark magick。 Little did she know that every being that gets banished is actually killed。Wynter manages to escape thanks to her special powers and is on the run where she meets other people who are also on the run， and together， they seek sanctuary with the Ancients。 This is where they first meet Cain。 The attraction between Cain and Wynter is pretty instant， and it doesn't take either of them long to act upon it。There are plenty of secrets between the pair， neither of them willing to reveal anything just yet， but slowly few things come to the surface。 I absolutely loved the story so far。 I loved the chemistry between the couple and the banter between all the other characters， especially within the coven。 。。。more

Loved this book！ It had so many things I love about Suzanne Wright’s writing， badass female lead， tough and secretive male lead and fun cast of side characters。 The book reminded me a lot of the Dark in You series， which isn’t a bad thing because it’s one of my favorite series written by her。 The characters were similar but different enough to make it feel like different people。 There were a few things I would like to point out tho。 The cast was a bit white washed。 It bothered me a bit that she Loved this book！ It had so many things I love about Suzanne Wright’s writing， badass female lead， tough and secretive male lead and fun cast of side characters。 The book reminded me a lot of the Dark in You series， which isn’t a bad thing because it’s one of my favorite series written by her。 The characters were similar but different enough to make it feel like different people。 There were a few things I would like to point out tho。 The cast was a bit white washed。 It bothered me a bit that she took deities and mythological figures from other cultures and made them all white。 For example， Ishtar， she made her a blond and blue eyed white girl， when she could have represented her place origin a bit better considering she’s from nowadays Middle East region。 It felt a bit like she took whatever name she thought sounded cool and didn’t bother looking into their background。 And that took me out of the experience a bit。 At the same time I know that people don’t read these types of books for that but rather the spice， the humor and the relationship you see develop between the main characters。 And in most of those areas it more than delivered。 I felt like Wynter’s and Cain’s relationship could have developed a bit more because it felt more like lust than anything else， but this is only book 1 so I think that will probably happen along the way。Overall， loved the book and can’t want for the next one in the series ❤️❤️ 。。。more

This book is unique！ And I am very happy about it。 I loved Suzanne older books and i remember the excitement when i discovered the demon series。 Then for several years it was all meh。 Like she was this one trick pony on conveier。 All the stories were the same， just different names。 Like she just pushed them out。 No passion。 That was how it felt to me。

This reminded me of OG Suzanne Wright with less slut shaming。 So it was awesome。I just love heroines who are so damn powerful but no knows it， its my goddam kryptonite。Also I love that there is a jealous female character， I know some people hate that but it gives such fun drama！！

I received an ARC free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review。 I would have bought it regardless as Ms。 Wright is one of my auto-buys。 She always writes a great book。Once again Suzanne Wright hits it out of the park with the new Devils Cradle introduction。 She wrote a likeable， doesn’t give-a-crap heroine who is no damsel in distress and paired her with a mysterious， powerful， protective alpha-type that we all love to lust over。 Add in all Wynter’s crazy “crew” and non-stop attacks f I received an ARC free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review。 I would have bought it regardless as Ms。 Wright is one of my auto-buys。 She always writes a great book。Once again Suzanne Wright hits it out of the park with the new Devils Cradle introduction。 She wrote a likeable， doesn’t give-a-crap heroine who is no damsel in distress and paired her with a mysterious， powerful， protective alpha-type that we all love to lust over。 Add in all Wynter’s crazy “crew” and non-stop attacks from the villains and this was quite a page turner。 I laughed out loud at a lot of the banter in this book and the sex scenes are definitely scorching hot！ They do tread into the realm of a bit of sadomasocism but not to an extent that it would bother you even if that’s not your scene。 Already looking forward to the next one in the series。 。。。more

3。5 stars rounded down。 Including this book， I've read 33 books from Suzanne Wright。 So I guess you could say I'm a huge fan。 Her books definitely follow a formula， and for the most part， that's never bugged me。 Because for me， it's a formula that really works。 The Wicked in Me is the first book of Wright's where that formula really bugged me。 Wynter and Cain reminded me a lot of Harper and Knox from the Dark in You series， except not as awesome。 And because of that， I couldn't help but keep com 3。5 stars rounded down。 Including this book， I've read 33 books from Suzanne Wright。 So I guess you could say I'm a huge fan。 Her books definitely follow a formula， and for the most part， that's never bugged me。 Because for me， it's a formula that really works。 The Wicked in Me is the first book of Wright's where that formula really bugged me。 Wynter and Cain reminded me a lot of Harper and Knox from the Dark in You series， except not as awesome。 And because of that， I couldn't help but keep comparing them to Harper and Knox。 Maybe this isn't fair of me to do， but it is what it is。 One thing that was different for this book （but maybe will crop up later on） is that it's not a fated mates trope， and there's no real type of "mate bond" or "anchor bond" between the characters。 Which bummed me a little bit， because that is one aspect of Wright's books that I love。 And because of that， I don't know， but I just didn't actually feel like there was a tremendous amount of chemistry between Wynter and Cain。 Sure， there was a lot of sexual chemistry， but maybe also because both of them had so many secrets， I didn't feel like their relationship worked outside of the bedroom。 Wright， in my opinion， writes amazing secondary characters。 It's why her series can be several books long， because you just want those beloved characters to get their own HEA。 That said， I didn't jive with Wynter's "coven"。 I loooooove a quirky character （Khloe and Bailey are 2 of my favorites）， but these guys weren't quirky in the cute or funny way。 They were just weird。 But perhaps they will grow on me in the next books？ I'm not sure though。 And their quirks started to get a bit repetitive and lost their potential for humor。 Finally， I hated HATED the "barrier" thing。 You'll know what I'm talking about when you read it。 It's basically Cain's version of a brand or mark， but gross。 Now， all of that said， there were things that I did enjoy。 Even though her coven was weird， I did find myself laughing quite a bit （at least in the beginning， before it got repetitive）。 And I did appreciate the loyalty they showed one another。 I loved Wynter as a character。 Love when a heroine is a complete badass but is underestimated by pretty much everyone around her。 Finally， I thought it was really cool that some of the characters were biblical beings。 And although this doesn't end on a cliffhanger， there are several questions left unanswered， which I really want to know the answers to。 If this is your first from Wright， I think you'll enjoy it。 And even if it's not your first， you'll probably enjoy it as well （I seem to be in the minority）。 I guess I just enjoy others from Wright more。 But I do 100% plan to read the rest of the books in this series， or in the very least， the rest of Wynter and Cain's books。 。。。more

This story， while written by Wright， didn’t quite feel like she wrote it。 It felt a bit rushed and lacked her normal introspect take on the characters within。 It wasn’t bad。 I was actually looking forward to this book’s release since there haven’t been many new series to look forward to。 While it did distract me for a little while， it fell short for truly satisfying my story book needs。
